DR. SUSSIE AHAM OKORO Board Member
Sussie Aham Okoro, Ph.D. (Howard University), B.A. (UNN), M.Sc. (UniJos), MPA and MBA (USA), is an award-winning author and lecturer in the department of Africana Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA. She is an interdisciplinary teaching professional with a strong administrative, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Sussie possesses excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and responsibilities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Sussie is a notable community leader and advocate for the under served members of communities in Africa and the Diaspora. She has founded and led several Associations that provide assistance to the less privileged communities and families. She is married to Professor Ephraim Okoro at Howard University and they have three grown children.
