Ms. Amaka Peace Okoli is a member, and Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), of the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); and also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, (NIM). These professional qualifications place her in good stead in the pursuit of the career goal of being a leader in, and utilizing, the accounting profession in improving lives and living standards.
An accountant with over eight years experience in accounts and finance, Miss Okoli holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Accounting from the Enugu State University of Science & Technology (ESUT). She also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State, where she graduated with outstanding performance.
She is presently the Chief Accounting Officer of the Anglican Church of the Messiah, in the Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Church of Nigeria. The over two thousand member Church has an annual turnover of over ninety million naira. In this role, Miss Okoli manages and interacts with a workforce consisting predominantly of volunteers. An experienced banker, she has worked as Relationship Manager with Ecobank Nigeria, maintaining and building quality relations with new and existing clients. At Ecobank, she was exposed to training which honed her leadership and relationship management skills.
Ms. Okoli is a genial and self-motivated team player with dedicated focus on the multiple bottom-lines of people, profits, and our planet. Her love for God and humanity, passion for the truth and deep insight into the Accounting profession, especially as it concerns global best practice; provide the thrust for her love for this unique profession. She believes that accountability through prudence, transparency and effective financial planning in resource management will enable Africa minimize its current dismal poverty levels.
Ms Okoli currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
