Dr. Charity is a social entrepreneur pursuing poverty alleviation through financial education. She founded WealthyGen in 2018 with the mission to empower women and youth through financial education, developing tools, and implementing programs that help them advance on the path to achieving financial stability and sustainable growth.
Her inspiration to found WealthyGen came from her experiences growing up in Nigeria with her family. She learned valuable money lessons from her mother, who was constantly planning, saving, and investing for the future from her very little income. When her father could no longer run his business due to unforeseen health challenges, her mother became the financial bedrock of the family. Her family lifestyle did not change because her mother prepared for the future out of her very little income. Dr. Charity realized that many individuals and families work very hard but struggle to afford their living standards at the slightest setback. She also realized that many people lack the necessary knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions and may sometimes shy away from conversations about money and finances.
Through her experience, Dr. Charity sees women struggle with their finances, and the youth begin their independent financial lives with little to no knowledge about personal finance matters. The result is that they are faced with fast and easy ways to overspend their means, accumulate debts, and get into financial trouble. This was her inspiration and the driving force behind WealthyGen; to educate and empower people with the knowledge, skills, resources, and confidence to make sound financial decisions, choose the right financial products, establish sustainable livelihood activities, manage their income, spend wisely, build assets, and ultimately build generational wealth.
Our fearless leader – Dr. Charity, educates, speaks, and inspires from her wealth of knowledge and experience.
Outside her busy professional life, she is a wife and a mum with 3 wonderful kids.
