E-dividend Portal is Back Up. Claim Your Dividends!

They heard us! The e-dividend portal of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is now back up after yesterday’s crash. Now is the time to take action and claim your dividends if you haven’t already done so. Visit the portal now and check your name. Here is the link:

http://sec.gov.ng/non-mandated/

WealthyGen’s blog post here calling on all Nigerians to check and register to claim their dividends attracted huge traffic that supposedly crashed the SEC’s e-dividend portal. We had made a blog post announcing the crash and what you can do here.

Now that the the portal is back up, do not wait. There are billions of unclaimed dividends and SEC is no longer issuing paper dividend warrants. Visit the SEC portal now and check your name or the name of your loved ones. If you find your name, then register to claim your dividends. Check here: http://sec.gov.ng/non-mandated/

Every kobo counts towards your wealth. No amount of dividend is too small to claim.

This blog post explains how to claim your dividends. Read it below:

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    • admin

Please continue to try. A lot of people are accessing the page to claim their dividends and this may slow down their server.

        • admin

          Hi Joseph.

You should try again. We cannot control what happens with the SEC portal, but we are hoping it will come back up.

Hi admin,I searched for my fathers name but I did not see his name and has lots of umclamed shares. What do I do.

    • admin

If you have documents to show he has unclaimed dividends, your dad can take those documents to his bank and ask to to register for e-dividend.If he is late you can do that on his behalf, but you will need affidavit signed by all members of your family. Please check with your bank for their specific requirements.

Please how do one claim unpaid dividend of a deceased family member.
    Thank you in advance

    • WealthyGen

If he has unclaimed dividends, you can claim it. Some Registrars have different requirements, but for the most part, they will require a power of attorney from family members authorizing you to claim the unpaid dividends. I described the general process here:https://youtu.be/oOe4GpV1Lho
