Through the Women Empowerment Project (WE Project), Mrs. Sa’adatu Suleiman Baraya now has a fully stocked provision store to earn sustainable income.
Mrs. Baraya is a hardworking young widow with four children in Sabon Layi, Jos, Nigeria. When WealthyGen was introduced to Mrs. Baraya, she was managing to feed her children with the proceeds from her petty business pictured below:
When WealthyGen interviewed her, we identified her passion and skills for small business; and established a fully stocked provision store to help her earn sustainable income. WealthyGen also opened and funded a savings account for her and provided financial literacy training to equip her with the knowledge to use financial services, manage her money and grow the business.
Mrs. Baraya Can Now earn Sustainable Income
With her empowerment, Sa’adatu now has a fully stocked provision store to earn sustainable income. Her best Christmas present, and now she thrives!
WealthyGen has a long list of widows waiting to be empowered. With your support, we will continue to provide financial empowerment for these widows who are struggling to fight poverty.
