WealthyGen and Sitar Arts Center Partner to Bring Financial Education to Washington, DC.

WealthyGen and Sitar Arts Center Partner to provide financial workshops for twenty-five (25) rising high school seniors in Washington, DC. 

As an official Washington, D.C. partner of the Bloomberg Arts Internship, Sitar Arts Center is hosting Summer Internship Financial Workshops and providing exciting new opportunities to D.C.’s next generation of creative professionals. WealthyGen is happy to partner with Sitar Arts Center to implement these financial workshops.

Program Details

These workshops cover all modules of the WealthyGen FEYA Program (Financial Empowerment for Young Adults).

  • Financial Foundation (Introduction)
  • Designing Dreams (Financial Planning)
  • Can You Pay Your Bills (Spending and Budgeting)
  • Boost Your Savings (The Importance of Savings)
  • Bank Your Bucks (Choosing a Banking Partner)
  • Capacity, Character, Collateral, Capital (Credit)
  • The Almighty Dollar (Credit Cards)
  • Easy as Pie (Financial Ratios)
  • Increasing the Value of Your Money (Financial Markets & Investing)
  • Launching Your Dream (Entrepreneurship – Starting a Business)

Program Period: June 25, 2022, through August 5, 2022.

Founded in 2000, Sitar Arts Center is a multidisciplinary arts center providing high quality visual, performing, and digital arts education to students based in D.C. The organization’s mission is to offer possibilities that transform the lives of children, teens, and young adults born into a world of unequal access to opportunity. WealthyGen was founded in 2018 as a 501c(3) Maryland-based nonprofit organization providing financial empowerment solutions for women and youth. We are on a mission to empower women and youth with quality financial literacy education, programs, and tools designed to improve their financial wellbeing and help reduce poverty and inequality.
